 About Nancy Reed

Growing up in the Midwest and Upstate New York gave Nancy a wonderful background with a variety of horses. While riding at her own facility in beautiful Saratoga County, she finished out the last two years of her junior career with the legendary Victor Hugo-Vidal. Several championships (including ribbons at Madison Square Garden) made for an easy transition to a professional.

St. Louis proved to be a great stop when Nancy had the opportunity to show horses, foxhunt and manage a large show barn. Showing all over the Midwest and the East at all of the major horse shows broadened her as a true horseman.

Arriving in Scottsdale, Arizona in the 1970s further increased her education, as she started many young horses that ultimately garnered national recognition.

Nancy then moved to the Southern San Diego County's Bonita area, staying there for over 20 years. By 2004, it was time for a change and Nancy moved her entire horse training operation to Lakeside, in East San Diego County California.

Nancy is currently located at Blossom Valley Arabian and Sport Horses in El Cajon, CA. Although she teaches Tuesday through Sunday, in addition to showing, Nancy feels that hosting clinics during the year helps her clients as well as students from other barns in the area stay fresh and enthusiastic.

As a Charter Board Member for the GSDHJA - Greater San Diego Hunter and Jumper Association (gsdhja.org), Nancy has concentrated most of her recent showing in the San Diego area, with the occasional trip to Los Angeles and Orange County. GSDHJA has proved to be the "poster child" for local horse shows around the country, as the horse shows are well run and the year-end awards are second to none.

Thanks to her students' excellent showings and Nancy's talents as a trainer, Nancy and her clients has been able to take several trips and cruises, which are awarded to the winners.
